Found two quite interesting spam comments (captured by the almighty Akismet, of course) today. Both submitted at the same minute from users with the normal spammy randomized email addresses (name + random letter + random number @ aol.com). The IP addresses from the submitters originate from New Zealand and Germany.
“Hello! cgbadgc interesting cgbadgc site! I’m really like it! Very, very cgbadgc good!”
“Hello! adgekdd interesting adgekdd site! I’m really like it! Very, very adgekdd good!”
At first you’d think there’s not that many bloggers nowadays that don’t use any kind of spam filters and at the same time autoapproves comments from on unknown users. Well, think again. A simple search on the following line: “Hello! * interesting * site! I’m really like it! Very, very * good!” gives 8.2 million results.
The stupidity never ceases to amaze.
lol there are also those spam comments that aren’t even related to the post they’re commenting which are obviously submitted by a robot. So yeah, stupidity never really ceases to amaze.
Wow, I don’t even know if I’m going to laugh at it or feel sad. Sometimes, when we think about this kind of comment, we get frustrated, but then, we can kind of laugh about it.
I also could meet this kind of comment, maybe I feel a little angry. I really do not want to meet this spam.

Same thing with nigerian scam e-mails. They’ve been sent out billions of times over the years, and the verbiage is still pretty much the same. Same old lame story on all of them.
But why don’t they bother being a little bit more creative with the message they send out, and change it every so often? Because they don’t have to. There’s always going to be some idiot who falls prey to their scheme. Just simpler to keep sending out the same e-mail over and over again.
